Understanding by Design, or UbD, is an educational planning approach. This Book is an example of backward design, the practice of looking at outcomes in order to design the curriculum units, classroom instruction and performance assessments. UbD focuses on teaching to achieve understanding. It is advocated by the Jay McTighe and Grant Wiggins in their Understanding by Design in the year 1998, published by Association for Supervision and the Development of Curriculum. Understanding by Design and UbD are registered trademarks of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
Understanding by Design is a way to teach the peoples. UbD is the short form of this title this one is no modern design for the understanding and teaching. But this one is considered the best knowing design. This just a way of practice to arrange the Curriculum. It helps to practice the performance and important instruction during classroom. Jay McTighe and Grant Wiggins is the promoter of this designing named Understanding by Designs. This one is published by Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. 1998 is the publishing date of this design.
Understanding by Design is just considered as the Backward Planning. The main rules of our classroom and teacher started their work backward way totally rely on the textbook not practice works take place not set any goals. In this, we enhance the learning power of students and increased the capabilities of students.

There are THREE main important stages of the Design
- Identification; what identification? Actually, identify the wishes and see the results. In this stages make encouraged the student to understand in a different processor.
